Harmony (a different perspective)
As I was going back through an old blog that I used to post to (my old personal website from years ago), I noticed that I used to share a lot of videos and other things that I always found interesting. Most of my blog posts didn’t go into a lot of detail. I guess I let the material that I was posting do most of the speaking.
I saw this post and wanted to share it again. This Alan Watts lecture talks about how one thing exists because of the other. The angry people - the happy people. The problem - the solution. If everyone is angry, how do you know what happy is? What's the definition of a solution, if there never has been one? If you’re observing things too closely, things can be upsetting, things may seem to be a lost cause. When you take a step back and look at everything as a whole, the pieces of the puzzle start to fit. The puzzle can be just as beautiful when it's not together. Harmony can, and will always exist if we choose to see things from a different perspective.
And last, but not least. My wife, Natalie, and I just found this book (see preview) in Barnes & Noble last week. It was published a couple of years ago. Natalie is an Alan Watts fan like myself, so she purchased it. Unlike his other books, this is a book of letters curated by two of his daughters, Joan Watts and Anne Watts, that give a deeper look into his life.

Note: The video in this post is from the Higher Alpha YouTube channel. It has a lot of great videos like the one above.
