Ah, to be...

The opportunities

I had the wonderful opportunity to step away from the palette knife recently and work on several embellished metal prints for a fantastic small business in Lawrenceburg, KY. I was also commissioned to create a large acrylic sign for their business. I think one of the best things about being an artist is that you never know what each day will bring, and the beautiful people that you are going to meet. I cherish each and every one of these opportunities.

The business that I created the pieces for is Pure Radiance Med Spa & Salon. If you live in the central Kentucky area, I highly recommend them. They are the best! You can find more about them here.

When it wasn’t fun

In my previous line of work (in the IT field), I never knew what each day would bring— I just knew it wasn’t going to be fun. I now have the freedom to create on my own time, and without the anxiety. I no longer receive 2am calls about a dysfunctional email server that’s affecting 1,000+ users. My art is much more stable than that. 😋

I’m only limited by my own imagination nowadays. Any anxiety that I put on myself is of my own doing. Creating things, and having people truly appreciate it, is a dream come true.
